Classic vanilla cupcakes recipe for fluffy homemade desserts

  • 1 1/2 cups (190 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (115 g) softened butter
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C and line muffin tin
  2. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt
  3. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy
  4. Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla
  5. Alternate adding dry ingredients and milk, mixing until combined
  6. Fill liners two-thirds full
  7. Bake 18–20 minutes until toothpick comes out clean
  8. Cool before frosting

Notes

  • For keto version: substitute almond flour and erythritol
  • For lower calories: reduce sugar by 1/4 cup
  • Store in airtight container for up to 3 days
