A rich and comforting stuffed meatloaf filled with melted mozzarella cheese, perfect for a hearty dinner.

Ingredients

  • 500 g ground beef
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C.
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, milk, egg, onion, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Divide the meat mixture in half.
  4. Press half into a baking dish to form a base layer.
  5. Spread shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the meat layer.
  6. Cover with the remaining meat mixture and seal the edges.
  7. Bake for 50–60 minutes or until fully cooked.
  8. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Notes

  • For a keto version, replace breadcrumbs with almond flour.
  • Use low-fat cheese to reduce calories.
  • Turkey bacon can be mixed into the meat for extra flavor.
  • Letting the meatloaf rest helps keep it moist.
