- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 8 oz cream cheese: softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- Red food coloring: optional for Valentine’s theme
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
- Mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl.
- Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until combined.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
- Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
- Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture onto the brownie batter. Swirl with a knife.
- Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let cool before cutting into squares.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- For a richer flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
