Ingredients

  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 8 oz cream cheese: softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • Red food coloring: optional for Valentine’s theme

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Mix melted butter, sugar, eggs, and vanilla in a bowl.
  3. Add flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Stir until combined.
  4. Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan.
  5. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth. Add food coloring if desired.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of cheesecake mixture onto the brownie batter. Swirl with a knife.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Let cool before cutting into squares.
