Southern Coleslaw is a classic creamy cabbage salad perfect for barbecues and picnics. This homemade version features a tangy-sweet dressing.

Ingredients

  • 6 cups shredded cabbage (about 1 medium head)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrots
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Combine shredded cabbage and carrots in a large bowl.
  2. Whisk mayonnaise, vinegar, sugar, mustard, salt, and pepper in a separate bowl until smooth.
  3. Pour dressing over cabbage mixture and mix thoroughly.
