A quick and flavorful one-pan meal featuring shrimp, orzo, and Parmesan cheese.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 cup orzo
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add shrimp, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add orzo and toast for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth, bring to a boil, then reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes until orzo is tender.
  6. Stir in Parmesan cheese and cooked shrimp. Garnish with parsley before serving.

  • Adjust red pepper flakes to your preferred spice level.
  • Substitute vegetable broth for a vegetarian version.
