Description

A creamy and flavorful pasta dish combining tender shrimp and fresh kale with rich fettuccine.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine: cooked al dente
  • 1 lb shrimp: peeled and deveined
  • 2 cups kale: chopped
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cloves garlic: minced
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes: optional

Instructions

  1. Cook fettuccine according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add shrimp and cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink.
  5. Remove shrimp from skillet and set aside.
  6. In the same skillet, add kale and sauté until wilted, about 2 minutes.
  7. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  8. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
  9. Return shrimp to the skillet and toss to coat.
  10. Add cooked fettuccine and mix well. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for best results.
  • Substitute kale with spinach if preferred.
  • Adjust red pepper flakes to taste.
