Description

A creamy and flavorful shrimp and asparagus Alfredo pasta dish that’s quick to prepare.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz fettuccine pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 bunch asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes until tender-crisp.
  5. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted.
  6. Return shrimp to the skillet. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat evenly.
  7. Season with salt and pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use fresh shrimp for best flavor.
  • Adjust creaminess by adding more or less Parmesan.
  • Substitute half-and-half for heavy cream if preferred.
