A creamy and spicy shrimp Alfredo pasta dish with Cajun seasoning.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz penne pasta
  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook penne pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Toss shrimp with Cajun seasoning.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds. Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer.
  5. Stir in Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper. Cook until sauce thickens.
  6. Add cooked pasta and shrimp back to the skillet. Toss to coat.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust Cajun seasoning to your preferred spice level.
  • Use fresh shrimp for the best flavor.
  • Substitute half and half for a lighter version.
