Description
A festive and savory Pumpkin Shaped Cheese Ball made with cream cheese, cheddar, jalapeño, and crushed nacho chips. Perfect for Halloween or Thanksgiving parties.
Ingredients
1 cup Doritos Nacho Cheese, (crumbled)
12 ounces cheddar cheese, (shredded)
16 ounces cream cheese
1 shallot, (finely diced)
1 jalapeño, (finely diced)
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 yellow bell pepper, (chopped – save the stem)
Tortilla chips, for serving
Instructions
1. In a mixing bowl, use a hand mixer to beat the cream cheese until smooth.
2. Add shredded cheddar cheese and garlic powder. Beat again.
3. Finely dice the shallot, jalapeño, and yellow bell pepper. Stir into cream cheese mixture.
4. Place the mixture onto plastic wrap and form into a ball. Wrap tightly.
5. Add 3 rubber bands around the ball to create pumpkin-like indentations.
6. Refrigerate for 3 hours or until firm.
7. Remove plastic and rubber bands.
8. Crush Doritos and press them around the cheese ball until fully coated.
9. Place the bell pepper stem on top to resemble a pumpkin stem.
10. Serve with tortilla chips.
Notes
Make ahead and chill overnight for best flavor.
Use gloves when handling jalapeño to avoid irritation.
