Description

Creamy one pot shrimp Alfredo orzo is a quick and easy dish that combines tender shrimp, rich Alfredo sauce, and orzo pasta for a comforting meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup orzo pasta
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side, then remove from the skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in orzo and cook for 1 minute.
  5. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
  6. Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender.
  7. Reduce heat to low, then stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Return shrimp to the skillet and cook until heated through.
  9. Season with salt and pepper.
  10. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
