- 1 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup orzo pasta
- 2 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side, then remove from the skillet.
- In the same skillet, sauté garlic until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
- Stir in orzo and cook for 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and bring to a simmer.
- Cover and cook for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until orzo is tender.
- Reduce heat to low, then stir in heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
- Return shrimp to the skillet and cook until heated through.
- Season with salt and pepper.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
