One Bowl Chocolate Cake is a rich, moist, and easy-to-make chocolate dessert that’s perfect for beginners and chocolate lovers alike.
Ingredients
2 cups white sugar
1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour
¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 ½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
2 large eggs
1 cup milk
½ cup vegetable oil
2 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup boiling water
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour two 9-inch round cake pans.
2. Mix sugar, flour, cocoa, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl.
3. Add eggs, milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes.
4. Stir in boiling water. Batter will be thin.
5. Pour batter evenly into prepared pans.
6. Bake 30–35 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
7. Cool 10 minutes in pans, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
Use freshly boiled water to enhance chocolate flavor.
Do not overmix once wet and dry ingredients are combined.
Frost with buttercream or ganache for extra indulgence.
