Description
Juicy chicken wings coated in a sweet and tangy pomegranate glaze make the perfect appetizer for your New Year celebration.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings: fresh or thawed
- 1 cup pomegranate juice: 100% pure
- 1/4 cup honey: for sweetness
- 2 tbsp soy sauce: reduced sodium
- 1 tbsp garlic powder: for flavor
- 1 tsp salt: to taste
- 1/2 tsp black pepper: freshly ground
- 1 tbsp olive oil: for brushing
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels. Place them on the baking sheet.
- Brush the wings lightly with olive oil. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
- While the wings bake, make the glaze. In a saucepan, combine pomegranate juice, honey, and soy sauce. Simmer over medium heat until reduced by half, about 10-12 minutes.
- Toss the baked wings in the glaze until fully coated. Serve warm.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil the wings for 2-3 minutes after glazing.
- Garnish with fresh pomegranate seeds and chopped parsley for a festive look.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
