  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup cold butter, cubed
  • 1/2 cup dried cranberries
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Stir in dried cranberries.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix cream, egg, and vanilla. Add to dry ingredients and stir until dough forms.
  6. Turn dough onto a floured surface and shape into a circle. Cut into 8 wedges.
  7. Place wedges on baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes or until golden.
  8. Whisk powdered sugar and milk to make glaze. Drizzle over cooled scones.
