  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 1/2 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives
  • 1/4 cup sliced green onions
  • Tri-color tortilla chips for serving

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, drain excess fat.
  2. Add taco seasoning and water as per packet instructions, simmer for 5 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix cream cheese and sour cream until smooth.
  4. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in a baking dish.
  5. Layer the seasoned beef over the cream cheese mixture.
  6. Sprinkle shredded cheddar and Monterey Jack cheeses on top.
  7. Bake at 350°F for 15 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  8. Top with salsa, diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions.
  9. Serve warm with tri-color tortilla chips.
