1 tsp salt
1 tbsp active dry yeast
3/4 cup warm water
2 tbsp olive oil
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp dried herbs (such as rosemary, thyme, or oregano)
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
Add warm water and olive oil, then knead into a dough.
Let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
Roll out the dough into a rectangle and sprinkle cheddar cheese and herbs evenly.
Fold the dough, roll it out again, and cut into strips.
Twist each strip and place on a baking sheet.
Brush with beaten egg.
Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
