- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm water and olive oil, then knead into a dough.
- Let the dough rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and sprinkle cheddar cheese and herbs evenly.
- Fold the dough, roll it out again, and cut into strips.
- Twist each strip and place on a baking sheet.
- Brush with beaten egg.
- Bake at 375°F for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Notes
- You can use fresh herbs instead of dried for a stronger flavor.
