Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tbsp white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and prep pans.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until fluffy.
  3. Add eggs, vanilla, then beat again.
  4. Mix dry ingredients and add half.
  5. Add buttermilk, vinegar, and food coloring.
  6. Add remaining dry ingredients and combine.
  7. Pour into pans and bake 25–30 mins.
  8. Cool and level cakes.
  9. Frost and stack layers.
  10. Decorate with blood drips and spooky toppings.
