Description
These Super Fudgy M&M Brownies are loaded with chocolate chips and your favorite chocolate candy, M&M’s, for a rich treat that comes together in one bowl.
Ingredients
1/2 cup unsalted butter (1 stick)
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips, divided
3/4 cup light brown sugar, packed
3/4 cup granulated sugar
4 large eggs, room temperature
2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp kosher salt
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup M&M’s, divided
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 325°F. Line a 9×9 baking pan with parchment paper and coat with nonstick spray.
2. In a medium saucepan, combine the butter and 1 1/2 cups of the semi-sweet chocolate chips. Melt over medium-low heat, stirring constantly, then remove from the heat.
3. Whisk in both sugars, then add the eggs one at a time until the batter is smooth and combined. Mix in the vanilla extract.
4. Stir in the salt and flour until just incorporated. Do not overmix. Fold in the remaining 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of the M&M’s.
5. Pour the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the remaining 1/2 cup of M&M’s evenly over the top.
6. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted 2 inches from the side comes out with moist crumbs.
7. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before lifting out and cutting into squares.
Notes
Properly measure your flour by spooning it into the measuring cup and leveling it off with a knife. This prevents the brownies from becoming dry.
Using room temperature eggs helps them mix more evenly into the batter, creating a smoother texture.
Store airtight at room temperature for up to 3 days.
