A sweet and savory tart combining fresh figs and honey for a delicious dessert.
Ingredients

- 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ cup unsalted butter, chilled and cubed
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
- ¼ tsp salt
- 3–4 tbsp ice water
- 8–10 fresh figs, halved
- ¼ cup honey
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Mix flour, sugar, and salt in a bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly.
- Add ice water, 1 tbsp at a time, until dough forms.
- Roll out dough and press into a tart pan. Chill for 30 minutes.
- Prick the crust with a fork and bake for 15 minutes.
- Arrange fig halves on the crust.
- Drizzle with honey, lemon juice, and vanilla.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden.
- Cool before serving.
Notes
- Use ripe figs for the best flavor.
- For a crispier crust, blind bake it before adding the figs.
- Replace honey with maple syrup for a different taste.
