A delicious and easy-to-make creamy lemon garlic shrimp pasta that’s perfect for a quick weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta: your choice of spaghetti or fettuccine
  • 1 lb shrimp: peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic: minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 lemon: juiced and zested
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley: chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add shrimp and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove shrimp and set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, add garlic and cook for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Pour in heavy cream, lemon juice, and lemon zest. Stir to combine.
  5. Add parmesan cheese, salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce thickens.
  6. Return the cooked shrimp to the skillet and add the pasta. Toss everything together until well coated.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.

Notes

  • You can use any pasta you prefer.
  • Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the spiciness.
  • For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half for heavy cream.
