Description

A rich and spicy pasta dish featuring tender shrimp in a creamy chipotle sauce.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz pasta: cooked al dente
  • 1 lb shrimp: peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic: minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp chipotle peppers in adobo: finely chopped
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley: chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  3. Add shrimp and cook for 2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside.
  4. In the same skillet, sauté garlic for 30 seconds.
  5. Add heavy cream, chipotle peppers, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.
  6. Simmer for 3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  7. Return shrimp to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
  8. Add cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese. Toss to combine.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Adjust chipotle peppers for more or less heat.
  • Substitute half-and-half for a lighter sauce.
  • Use gluten-free pasta if needed.
