  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 4 slices turkey bacon, chopped
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tsp thyme
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, cook turkey bacon until crispy. Remove and set aside.
  2. Add butter to the pot and sauté onions, carrots, and celery until soft.
  3. Add garlic and cook for 1 minute.
  4. Pour in chicken broth and bring to a boil.
  5. Reduce heat and add shredded chicken, thyme, salt, and pepper.
  6. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  7. Stir in heavy cream and cooked bacon.
  8. Serve hot.
