Description
A sweet, spicy, and tangy cranberry-jalapeño dip layered over creamy whipped cream cheese. Perfect for holidays, parties, and potlucks.
Ingredients
12 oz (340g) fresh cranberries
2 medium jalapeños, seeds and membranes removed, finely chopped
4 green onions, thinly sliced
½ cup packed fresh cilantro, chopped
1 cup granulated sugar
¼ teaspoon salt
2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
16 oz (2 blocks) full-fat cream cheese, softened to room temperature
Instructions
1. In a food processor, add the fresh cranberries, chopped jalapeños, green onions, and cilantro. Pulse 8–10 times until finely chopped but not pureed.
2. Transfer mixture to a medium bowl. Stir in the sugar, salt, and lime juice until well combined.
3. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight to allow flavors to meld.
4. When ready to serve, whip the softened cream cheese until light, smooth, and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
5. Spread the whipped cream cheese evenly on a serving platter or in a 9-inch pie dish.
6. Spoon the chilled cranberry-jalapeño mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer and serve with crackers or veggies.
Notes
Chilling the cranberry mixture for at least 4 hours is essential for flavor.
Can be made a day ahead and assembled right before serving.
