A festive and creamy spinach artichoke dip served in a bread bowl, perfect for Christmas gatherings.

  • 1 round loaf sourdough bread
  • 1 cup chopped spinach, drained
  • 1 cup canned artichoke hearts, drained and chopped
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cut the top off the sourdough loaf and hollow out the center, leaving about 1-inch thickness.
  3. In a large bowl, mix cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until smooth.
  4. Add spinach, artichoke hearts, mozzarella, Parmesan, garlic, salt, and pepper. Stir well.
  5. Spoon the mixture into the hollowed-out bread bowl.
  6. Place the bread bowl on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  7. Serve warm with bread pieces, crackers, or veggies for dipping.

Notes

  • Use fresh or frozen spinach. If using frozen, thaw and squeeze out excess water.
  • For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
