Delicious homemade chocolate chunk cookies with a gooey center and crispy edges.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup (170 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup (150 g) granulated sugar
  • 3/4 cup (165 g) brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 200 g dark chocolate chunks

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C.
  2. In a bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugars until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well, then add vanilla.
  5. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until combined.
  6. Fold in chocolate chunks.
  7. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough onto a lined baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes until edges are golden and centers soft.
  9. Cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • For crispier cookies, bake for an extra 2 minutes.
  • Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
  • Freeze dough for later use.
