Description
Bold, sweet, spicy, and buttery Cajun Hot Honey Shrimp is a one-pan dish loaded with garlic, thyme, lemon, and sticky hot honey glaze. Ready in under 30 minutes!
Ingredients

- 1½ lbs raw jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1½ tbsp Cajun seasoning
- Black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 4 tbsp salted butter
- 3–4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp fresh thyme (or 2 tsp dried)
- Zest and juice of 1 lemon
For the Hot Honey Sauce:
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tbsp salted butter
- 1 tsp cayenne pepper
- ½ tsp chili powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- Kosher salt, to taste
Instructions
- Pat shrimp dry and toss with Cajun seasoning and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add shrimp and sear for 2 minutes per side until pink.
- Stir in 4 tbsp butter, garlic, thyme, and lemon zest.
- Cook for 1–2 more minutes, until garlic turns golden.
- Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice.
- In a small saucepan, melt honey with 2 tbsp butter, cayenne, chili powder, paprika, and a pinch of salt.
- Drizzle the hot honey sauce over the shrimp before serving.
- Optional: Top with flaky salt. Serve over polenta, rice, or with crusty bread.
Notes
Adjust cayenne pepper to reduce or increase spice level.
Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 2 days.
