Ingredients
For Brownie Layer:
1 9-inch prepared refrigerated pie crust
1 standard-size box brownie mix
1/3 cup vegetable or canola oil
3 tbsp water
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 large egg
1/2 cup peanut butter chips
For Peanut Butter Layer:
4 oz cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup creamy peanut butter
1 cup powdered sugar
8 oz Cool Whip or whipped topping, thawed
3–4 tbsp chocolate jimmies, chocolate chips, peanut butter chips, or brownie crumbs for garnish
Instructions
1. Arrange pie crust in a 9-inch deep-dish pie plate, crimp edges.
2. Combine brownie mix, oil, water, vanilla, egg, and peanut butter chips in a bowl.
3. Set aside 2 tbsp brownie batter for crumbs if desired.
4. Press remaining batter evenly into pie crust.
5. Bake at 350°F for 30-35 mins or until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
6. Flatten reserved batter, bake 7-8 mins for crumbs. Cool and break into pieces.
7. Combine cream cheese, peanut butter, powdered sugar, and half whipped topping until smooth. Fold in remaining topping.
8. Spread peanut butter mixture over cooled brownie layer.
9. Garnish with chocolate jimmies, chips, and brownie crumbs.
10. Chill in refrigerator until firm. Serve and enjoy.
Notes
Use room-temperature cream cheese for smooth filling.
Do not overbake the brownie layer to keep it fudgy.
Chill thoroughly before slicing for clean pieces.
