Description
Crispy on the outside, gooey on the inside, these baked mozzarella sticks are a crowd-pleasing appetizer. They are easy to make and perfect for parties or snacking.

- 12 mozzarella string cheese sticks
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cut each mozzarella string cheese stick in half.
- Place flour in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, whisk eggs and water. In a third bowl, mix breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, oregano, and black pepper.
- Roll each mozzarella piece in flour, dip in the egg mixture, then coat with the breadcrumb mixture. Place on the baking sheet.
- Lightly spray the coated mozzarella sticks with cooking spray.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. Let cool for 2 minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, freeze the coated mozzarella sticks for 30 minutes before baking.
- Serve with marinara sauce or ranch dressing for dipping.
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for better flavor.
