Cook linguine in salted boiling water until al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
Return pasta to the pot, pour in the sauce, and add ½ cup reserved pasta water.
Stir over low heat until the sauce thickens and coats the noodles, about 2–3 minutes.
Remove from heat. Top with parsley and more Parmesan, if using. Serve hot.
